People lost jobs due to coronavirus will be paid maximum unemployment benefits
Russians who have lost their jobs due to coronavirus will be entitled to the maximum unemployment benefits. President Vladimir Putin gave this instruction during yesterday's meeting with regional leaders on combating the spread of a new coronavirus.
"I propose that everyone who has lost their jobs and contacted the employment service after March 1 of this year, should be paid unemployment benefits automatically at the upper limit in April, May, and June, which we have already revised towards the upper limit, namely at the minimum wage — 12,130 rubles ", said the head of state.
At the same time, the president drew attention to the fact that the filling out of benefits should be done remotely, "and as simple as possible".
Besides, the Russian leader announced new special measures to support families with children, where parents were temporarily unemployed. In addition to unemployment benefits and payments, such families will be additionally paid three thousand rubles per month for each minor child in the next three months.
