Athlete and Russian politician Jeff Monson will teach young Ufa residents martial arts
Athlete and Russian politician Jeff Monson will move from Krasnogorsk to Ufa and will teach young Ufa residents martial arts, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov said today.
“Three years ago, when I was the head of Krasnogorsk, I persuaded Jeff to settle down and work in the city. I did it deliberately because he is an outstanding athlete and just a good, kind, sincere person. He can teach children many things — to be strong, to be fair. And now Jeff, despite the coronavirus, is in Ufa. We agreed that he would live here and train Bashkir boys. Or maybe girls, if they want,” he posted on social media.
Jeffrey Monson is an American and Russian athlete, mixed martial arts wrestler. He is a two-time world champion in wrestling and the world champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In 2018, the athlete received Russian citizenship and the post of the deputy of the city council of Krasnogorsk.
