Two more business entities apply for residency in "Alga" SEZ in Bashkiria

Two more companies are planning to open their production in the territory of the future special economic zone "Alga", it became known at the "Investment Hour" session held by the Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov on January 17.
Established in December 2019, a subsidiary of a Kazakh company, Bashagropolymer LLC, plans to produce polypropylene fibers and polyethylene nets for pressing hay and packing vegetables. It was decided to establish the enterprise in Bashkiria to receive raw materials from oil enterprises and supply products to agriculture — both sectors are developed in the region.
The volume of investments is 1.4 billion rubles: equity of 280 million rubles, borrowed funds — 1.12 billion, including a preferential loan from the Industrial Development Fund for 700 million rubles secured by the parent company. The future enterprise will provide 100 jobs.
Arkada Industrial Association LLC was established in Ishimbay a month ago. The company plans to produce workwear and sportswear. As one of the founders, Mikhail Zuckerman said, they were choosing between the proposals of Italian and Japanese designers. Investors plan to build a factory on a site of 3 hectares at their own expense (240 million rubles), to purchase equipment with borrowed funds from the Industrial Development Fund (240 million rubles).
The sewing production will provide 1000 jobs, will be able to employ graduates of the Ishimbay vocational school. According to the business plan, the factory team in two shifts will produce 220 thousand products per year.
A complete readiness of the SEZ infrastructure will be required to start production, investors noted. Since it is difficult to guarantee this in the long run, Radiy Khabirov instructed to offer other location options to the Arkada Industrial Association.
The Ministry of Economic Development RF is now considering the application of Bashkortostan to create the SEZ "Alga". The special economic zone will be located in the territories of Ishimbaysky and Sterlitamaksky districts, within the Southern industrial zone. To date, nine potential residents are registered with a total investment of about 25.88 billion rubles. It is assumed that by 2029, 17 residents will be able to accommodate in the SEZ "Alga". an investment of 6.3 billion rubles will be required for the construction of the engineering, transport, social infrastructure of the zone.
