UFA, 3 December 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The first GeoGrafitti in Ufa was created in the very center of the city as part of the project of the Russian Geographical Society of the same name.
This is an image of an eagle owl on the wall of an administrative building in Lenin Public Garden — the corner of Lenin and Communisticheskaka Streets. The author of the drawing is the famous graffiti artist Oleg Kaybyshev.
The eagle owl is listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Bashkortostan as a rare and endangered species of the animal world, according to the regional department of the Russian Geographical Society.
Since 2016, the Russian Geographical Society has been posting thematic drawings in different cities of Russia — portraits of great scientists, travelers, as well as plants and animals listed in the Red Book.
