Subsidies for feedlot construction may be increased to 70 million rubles in Bashkiria

UFA, 13 November 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Azat Gizatullin/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.

The budget of Bashkortostan for 2020-2021 provides for subsidies for the construction of feedlots in the amount of 35 million rubles. The task was set to bring the volume of livestock and poultry production to 500 thousand tons, including through the construction of 10 feedlots in the “September” decree of the Head of Bashkortostan.

It is necessary to increase the number of beef animals, the number of fattening cattle, including dairy breeds by creating modern fattening areas (feedlots) and meat farms, and also to improve the breeding base of beef cattle to achieve these indicators, Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture noted.

Already today, the republic is ready to offer large investors an opportunity to build large feedlots of five thousand heads each. 50% of the costs may be reimbursed and this will attract a wide range of investors in the meat industry. Each project is proposed to be discussed in detail at “Investment Hour” sessions.

At the same time, small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises and peasant farms show great interest in the construction of feedlots. However, the construction, preparation of documentation and providing feedlots with young cattle will require large expenditures.

First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov instructed the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture to work out the issue of doubling the sum of subsidies for cost recovery.

Several investment projects for the construction of feedlots have already been implemented in the republic.

In particular, the Zuevskoye LLC in the Karaidel district built a feedlot for 1000 cattle, with 376 million rubles of investments.

The Orenburg-based “AgroSakmara”, owned by the Italian company Gruppo Cremonini, is completing the design of a feed mill. The investor plans to put it into operation in 2021. A project worth about 1.3 billion rubles is included in the priority list of the republic and claims to receive tax benefits and other forms of support. The production will be located at an area of 100 hectares and will create 40 new jobs. It is expected that the volume of production will exceed 9 thousand heads of cattle per year.

“Gayfutdinova” farm plans to construct a feedlot for raising and fattening young cattle of meat breeds for 9600 heads in Buraevsky district. The planned project cost is 575.7 million rubles.

“Urozhay” Dairy Farms LLC launches the construction of a feedlot for 2500 heads of bulls near the village of Ishly, Aurgazinsky district.
