
Bashkiria is among top ten regions which residents lead healthy lifestyle

Bashkiria is among top 10 regions of Russia with the highest share of people leading a healthy lifestyle in 2019, RBC reports.
Rosstat calculated the share of citizens who led a healthy lifestyle (HLS) during 2019 — their combined share throughout Russia was 12%. The percentage of people leading a healthy lifestyle in the Republic of Bashkortostan was 19.7%.
According to Rosstat, the official conditions to calculate the proportion of people leading a healthy lifestyle in the regions were the absence of a smoking habit; consumption of fruit and vegetables daily in the amount of at least 400 g; adequate physical activity; normal salt intake (not more than 5 g per day) and alcohol consumption of not more than 168 g of pure alcohol per week for men and not more than 84 g for women. Rosstat approved the methodology for determining a healthy lifestyle in March 2019.
Ingushetia was in the first three in the rating — a share of 48.8%, Crimea — 29.2%, and Adygea — 28.8%.
The smallest indicators were recorded at Chukotka Autonomous District — the share of HLS is 0.4%, Tuva — 1.1%, and Nenets Autonomous District — 2.1%.
Earlier, Bashinform reported that Bashkiria improved its performance in the rating of the population’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle, having gained 70.6 points, and has risen one line since 2017.
