World Draughts Championship: Tamara Tansykkuzhina won gold, Alexander Georgiev silver

The World Draughts Championship was held in the city of Beilen in the Netherlands. Eight representatives of Bashkiria took part in the rapid program. The Netherlands autumn became gold for Tamara Tansykkuzhina, who excelled among women, and silver with a gold tint for Alexander Georgiev — the ten-time world champion shared 1-2 places with two-time world champion Rul Bumstra (Netherlands) and lost gold only by an additional criterion. The six-time champion Tamara Tansykkuzhina finished alone with 11 points.
The Russian women's team (Tansykkuzhina, Tkachenko, Milshina, Nogovitsyna, Idrisova) became the first in the team event, men's (Georgiev, Getmansky, Amrillaev, Schwarzman, Shaibakov) — the second.
Thus, Tamara Tansykkuzhina won gold in the individual and team events, Alexander Georgiev won silver. Also, Elena Milshina and Aigul Idrisova became world champions in the “team” event of the Russian national team, and Ainur Shaibakov and Murodullo Amrillaev became vice-champions.
Total, 92 participants (65 men and 27 women) from ten countries came to the city of Beilen for the title of the fastest draughts players in the world in the individual and team events. Among them, there were 30 international grandmasters, six international masters.
