Bashkiria is the first by number of projects – finalists of contest on initiative budgeting

Bashkiria has become the first in Russia by the number of projects, reaching the final stage of the all-Russian contest of projects in sphere of initiative budgeting. Imitative budgeting is the mechanism, allowing population to take part in determination of priorities during distribution of budget funds and in further control over realization of the projects chosen. The first tour final includes 25 projects, gathering the largest number of “likes” in accordance with the results of all-national voting. Six projects – the largest number – fall on Bashkiria, five- on Stavropol and Kaluga regions, two – on Krasnoyarsk region and Komi Republic, one – on Orenburg, Saratov and Sakhalin regions, Khanty-Mansi autonomous area and Yakutia. The expert jury will choose three winners in three nominations from these 25 projects. Every winner will receive 100 thousand rubles for co-funding of its project. Names of laureates will be announced on November 30 during the all-Russian public forum. Projects, related to neighborhood improvement, have become the most actual at this year’s contest. 128 of 380 projects deal with improvement. More than 50 projects, directed to the contest, deal with repair and construction of sports objects, more than 30 projects – with culture objects and other 30 – with construction of children’s playgrounds and roads, located inside settlements.
