Deputies of State Council-Kurultay-RB work out measures for softening the latest negative demographic tendencies in the Republic jointly with experts. Meeting of a profiled work commission has taken place on September 17. “Demographic situation in our Republic remains rather complex” – regional parliament’s speaker Constantine Tolkatchev mentioned – “small generation of people, born in 90s, reached a childbearing age and this is the fact we fail to argue with. From another side we are watching one more tendency – a migration outflow. De facto these two tendencies give us a substantial loss of population. Investigations show that if we fail to overcome this situation, we can stay with stable demographic minus till 2035”. According to the speaker we need competent managerial solutions in order to improve the present state of things. Experts and representatives of corresponding departments agree that the Republic possesses enough potential for birth rate rise but some stimulating measures are necessary nonetheless. “Our surveys show that under favorable conditions people are ready to try and born the second child and this is our still unused potential. Reduction of migration loss and additional incentives for people, arriving in our Republic and intending to stay here, also can give us quite good chances. Our main goal is to create conditions for people to be sure in tomorrow”.
