Integrated professionally-oriented work is called to equalize demand and offer in local labor market, acting Minister for labor RB Uri Melnikov told during a news-conference, devoted to youth festival “ProFest”, held in Ufa. “Republican employers want 75% workers and only 25% — people with higher education and in education sphere we’re watching an opposite picture – 75% of offers come from higher education sphere and 25% — from professional education. These figures demonstrate the necessity of integrated approach to professionally-oriented work with young people” – Uri Melnikov explained. According to him only 27% of graduates work by professions, chosen by them after school. In the course of questionings it was found out that just 58% were satisfied by their choice and 42% said they had made a mistake. “We will hold already the fourth professional festival and it is called to give our pupils an understanding of what they will face ahead. We will work with senior pupils and intend to include about 70 directions, accompanied by corresponding equipment, training simulators and demonstrational materials. We want to place employers and pupils closer and at the end of the festival we intend to question pupils to what extent they are interested and informed” – Uri Melnikov stated.
