The "I Love Ufa" art object on Two Fountains Square was painted in the colors of the Ufa International Marathon, which will be held for the fifth time in the capital of Bashkiria on September 1. Today the Ufa International Marathon is one of the ten largest marathons in Russia and the top 100 brands of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The Ufa marathon is the most important and final event of the republican series of Bashrun races, including half-marathons in the cities of Sibay, Oktyabrsky, Blagoveshchensk, and Yanaul.
For five years, more than 15 thousand people from 18 countries, 45 regions, and 220 cities have become participants of the marathon. This year 5 thousand people from 30 countries take part in the run.
A large-scale holiday “Ufa — Sports Capital” will be held as part of the Ufa International Marathon this time. There are three blocks of events awaiting guests: a city holiday, the Sports Russia Business Forum, and the marathon itself. ⠀
The city festival will include mix fight, bodybuilding championships, bike shows, street basketball, the show of the most powerful person in our republic Elbrus Nigmatullin and other entertainment programs with the Russian and international pop stars.
The forum will bring together about 300 people — representatives of state authorities, leaders of social movements, politicians, heads of international organizations, and world-class experts.
Dmitry Guberniev will be the commentator of the marathon.
The races of the sports festival will include: “Mom, Dad, I — Sports Family”, a corporate race of the republican business, a special race from a partner “Red Bull”, a race of the regions of Russia, as well as a race for the title “The Most Sporting Mayor”.
“In the next five years, the Republic of Bashkortostan should be among the top five regions of Russia in terms of the sports development and the population involvement in a healthy lifestyle,” the organizers confidently state.
