Grand Prix holder of Silver Akbuzat Film Festival will receive one million rubles in Ufa

In Ufa, the holder of the Grand Prix of the Silver Akbuzat Film Festival will receive a memorable figurine and a million rubles. The director of the Bashkortostan film studio Unir Aminev announced this at a press conference in the Bashinform News Agency. The 4th International Film Festival "Silver Akbuzat" will be held in Ufa on August 24-27.
“The figurine of a fabulous horse is made of stone and bronze, covered with silver jewelry. The green pedestal symbolizes the Ural Mountains. The author is the artist Arslan Bikbaev, sculptor Salavat Ganeev,” explained Unir Aminev. “More than ten prize statuettes are prepared. This is the main prize and awards for the best films (full-length and short fiction, documentary), ethnic films (full-length and short fiction, documentary), best director, best scriptwriter, best cameraman”.
Special prizes will be awarded from the Bashkortostan film studio — a prize named after director Malik Yakshimbetov and cameraman Gilvan Amirov, from the city administration, the World Kurultay of Bashkirs and the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection RB.
Also this year, two new special prizes are added. This year is the 85th anniversary of Amir Abdrazakov, so his prize will amount to 85 thousand rubles. It will be handed over by the director’s son, opera singer Askar Abdrazakov. The wife of the Acting Head of the republic Karine Khabirova also prepared her prize.
The Silver Akbuzat Film Festival at the Rodina Cinema will feature 48 films. Films from Australia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, India, China, Myanmar, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Nepal, Moldova, Rwanda, Uzbekistan, France, and South Korea will be presented in the competition program of the 4th International Silver Akbuzat Film Festival. Almost all the works will be presented by the directors themselves.
Eight films from the Republic of Bashkortostan are included in the competition program. The festival will open with the historical film "The First Republic" by Bulat Yusupov. The non-competitive program will also show the "Etegen" film directed by Aisuak Yumagulov.
