Bashkiria and France will launch new cheese production and eco-tourism

Yesterday, Radiy Khabirov welcomed the French Ambassador to Russia, Sylvie Bermann in the House of the Republic. The parties discussed cooperation in economic, humanitarian, and social spheres.
The Acting Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, noted that over the past year, the trade turnover between Russia and France had increased. On Tuesday, July 23, the head of the region, together with the French Ambassador, will become participants in laying the foundation stone for a new production of soft cheeses at the Belebeevsky Dairy Plant. The line will be opened in collaboration with the world leader in the production of delicious cheeses Savencia company.
“We will make the most beautiful cheese factory in Russia here,” said Jean-Paul Torrey, the company's CEO.
In turn, Radiy Khabirov promised to create all the conditions for implementing the project and opening new production facilities.
The Interim Deputy Prime Minister RB Ilshat Tazhitdinov, Ufa Mayor Ulfat Mustafin and Director of Business Development for Russia and the CIS at SUEZ François Carmantrand signed an agreement on the creation of an urban environment management system in the capital Bashkiria and the elimination of accumulated environmental damage from production activities.
François Carmantrand also noted that the most promising areas of cooperation with Ufa would be a Smart City project, previously implemented in Dijon, and a project on environmental rehabilitation of the “Khimprom” plant territory.
Bashkiria and France together intend to develop ecological tourism. Ambassador Sylvie Bermann expressed hope for interaction between universities, and readiness to contribute to the creation of multilingual classes at the gymnasium No. 39.
Radiy Khabirov told Sylvie Bermann about a representative office of our republic in Austria. The second is to open in Turkey by the end of 2019. According to Radiy Khabirov, after evaluating the effectiveness of the representative offices, they may be launched in other countries of Asia and Europe. The French Ambassador suggested opening it in Paris in the future.

The parties agreed on the visit of the business delegation of Bashkortostan to Paris in the framework of the cross-year of Russia and France, where it would be possible to sign these and other promising documents.
