On July 21, the next stage of the World Cup in international draughts — the tournament RotterDamsOpen 2019 ended in Rotterdam (the Netherlands).
The nine-time world champion from Ufa, Alexander Georgiev, was the seventh among 128 participants. The trainee of the Central Draughts Club "Bashkortostan" has three victories and six draws, 12 points out of 18 possible. Georgiev was just one point close to the prize-winning three. Makodu N'Diye (Senegal) was the winner, the second place went to Victoria Motrichko (Ukraine), Alexander Getmansky (Russia, Tula) was the third.
In the overall World Cup count, Alexander Georgiev strengthened his position in third place. Ufa players were ahead among women: the first was vice-champion of the world Aigul Idrisova, the second — six-time and current world champion Tamara Tansykkuzhina. They missed the Dutch stage.
