Fifth Small Business Forum of SCO and BRICS countries will be held in Ufa in September

The Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov signed a decree on holding the Fifth Small Business Forum of the Regions of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS countries with the participation of official delegations from Russian and foreign states in Ufa from September 26 to September 27.
The corresponding document was posted on the official Internet portal of legal information of Bashkiria.
The primary goals of the forum are to create conditions for accelerated development of entrepreneurship through establishing partnerships between companies from the regions of the SCO and BRICS countries, as well as strengthening and developing interregional ties, attracting investments and increasing the number of joint business projects.
The organizing committee of the large-scale forum was entrusted with developing and submitting to the republican government a plan of measures and an estimate of the costs of preparing and holding the forum before August 1.
The fourth in a row Small Business Forum of the regions of the SCO and BRICS countries was held in Ufa from October 18 to 19, 2018. Representatives of 24 countries and 44 regions of Russia took part in its work.
Total, over 150 agreements, and contracts were signed on the sidelines of the 2018 forum.
As the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia Vladimir Padalko emphasized at the meeting with journalists, in terms of the number, nature, and subject of round tables, the 2018 Forum "exceeded all expectations, turned out to be more effective than all previous ones."
According to the head of the Investment Policy Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Milena Arslanova, the Small Business Forum of the regions of the SCO and BRICS countries in Ufa is a good opportunity to exchange practices and proposals for further successful development.
