Bashkortostan is among pilot regions for testing educational certificates

In Russia, five regions have been identified where pilot testing of educational digital certificates for free education of citizens will be conducted. Five thousand certificates of up to 15 thousand rubles each will be equally divided between Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, the Sakha Republic, Rostov, and Tula regions.
With the help of the certificate, it will be possible to complete an online or mixed-format training program for ICT programs and end-to-end digital economy technologies. Able-bodied Russians aged 16 years to retirement age, with secondary vocational, higher education, or currently receiving will be entitled to receive them.
In total, 31 subjects of the Russian Federation confirmed their willingness to participate in testing. “Five regions have done a lot of “homework” to prepare educational organizations and various providers of educational programs, operators of the labor market. They are selected to test the program for the provision of personal digital certificates. This is just the beginning; by 2024, a system of educating thousands of adult citizens across the country in the sphere of the digital economy will function regularly, ”said Ilya Torosov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
“We are pleased that Bashkortostan has become one of the pilot regions in one of the key projects of the Digital Economy. Our republic is traditionally good at its educational organizations” Rasul Taipov, the deputy chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for IT Development, commented on the choice of the region.
