Bashkiria intends to cooperate with Thailand in urban economy digitalization

Projects in the oil and gas sector, construction of infrastructure facilities, urban economy and education digitalization were presented at a meeting in Ufa between the head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and a delegation of business circles of the Kingdom of Thailand, headed by Her Highness Mom Luang Rajadarasri Jayankura.
“All projects are interesting for us, and we are ready to start working together, in particular, on opening an international school with a sports bias. Our universities are ready to introduce new educational technologies. We are also ready to explore the possibilities of the “Smart City” project and the overhead railway”, said Radiy Khabirov.
The Acting Head of the Republic instructed the Interim Vice-Prime Minister RB Raif Abdrakhimov to lead the working group on the implementation of the reviewed projects. He also congratulated young athletes from Thailand on their successful performance at the Summer International Children's Games held in Bashkortostan. The Bangkok team won 27 awards, showing the best result among the participating cities and being ahead of the Ufa team by one medal.
Her Highness, in turn, expressed positive impressions of what she saw in Bashkortostan.
The head of the region noted that the trade turnover between the republic and Thailand in 2018 had tripled to $ 7.4 million, but it needs to be further increased, the press service of the head of the region reported.
