Six scientists from Bashkiria will receive presidential grants

Four Candidates of Science and two Doctors of Science from Bashkortostan will receive grants of the President of Russia. The federal inspector in the republic Mikhail Zakomaldin will hand them over to the recipients at the regional reception office of Vladimir Putin.
The amount of grants ranges from 600 thousand rubles (for Candidates of Science) to one million (for Doctors). This grant is allocated for further research in various fields of science.
According to the Ministry of Education of the region, the fields of research of Bashkir scientists cover agricultural, technical and engineering sciences, physics and astronomy, biology and life sciences, mathematics, and mechanics.
From October 1, 2018, to December 31, 2024, the "Science" national project signed by the head of state Vladimir Putin operates in Russia. Today, the country ranks 11th in the number of articles in leading international databases (about 80,000 articles per year, 2-3 percent of the world total); 8th place — in the number of patents (about 50 thousand per year), 8th place — in internal expenditures on research and development from all sources (about 1 trillion rubles); 4th place — in the number of researchers (about 365 thousand people in the field of research and development, or 111 people per 10 thousand economically occupied population). After six years, Russia should by all indicators be among the top five countries in the world and increase funding for research and development by 50%.
