Ufa team won 15 medals on first day of ICG-2019 competitions

Athletes from Ufa won four gold, four silver and seven bronze medals on the first competitive day of the 53rd International Children's Games.
The first gold to the team from the capital of Bashkiria was brought by judoist Aliya Mukhametyanova. Besides, swimmer Victoria Lissitskaya (100 m, breaststroke) and judoists Alina Galiyeva (52 kg), Timofey Shein (36 kg) climbed the first step of the podium.
In addition, silver medals went to Nikolai Kireev in fencing, Polina Mikitova in judo (40 kg), Bulat Rakhimov (45 kg), Vladislav Basharov, Dmitry Kashirin, Victoria Lisitskaya, Alexandra Nikitina, Maria Rashitova (freestyle 4x100 m) in swimming.
Young athletes from Ufa won bronze awards in fencing — Irina Krasnoperova and Elizaveta Pervushina, in judo — Ksenia Samoilova (57 kg), Askar Yakupov (40 kg), Kamil Gilyazov (50 kg), Egor Kalenov (55 kg), Nail Gareev ( 73 kg).
