Five best Bashkir schools received certificates of flagship schools of Russian Academy of Sciences

Five best Bashkir schools received certificates of flagship schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The ceremony of awarding certificates was held at the House of the Republic with the participation of the Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Lenara Ivanova, Interim Minister of Education RB Aibulat Khazhin, school principals, and Alexander Solomatin, Secretary of the RAS Commission on Scientific and Organizational Support to Flagship Schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Five educational institutions of Bashkortostan will begin work in the new status — “Flagship Schools of RAS” from September 1, 2019. This is the Ufa gymnasium No. 64, the Engineering Lyceum No. 83 named after M.N. Pinsky USPTU and Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No.93, as well as gymnasium No.1 of Sterlitamak, Lyceum No.1 Neftekamsk.
Total, 108 municipal schools from 32 regions of the country with significant scientific and educational potential became participants in a joint project of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, which was approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The goal of the project is to create conditions for the identification and training of talented children, their orientation towards building a successful career in the field of science, and high technologies.
The Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences has been identified as a regional project coordinator supporting the Flagship Schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The project curator in the region is the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
