The Acting Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, at a briefing session in the Bashkiria Government, spoke about a meeting at the Moscow airport with Bashkir shift workers.
According to him, the topic of rotational migration is multidimensional and diverse. The head of Bashkiria offered to collect shift workers over a cup of tea and ask them about their life, needs, plans, and reasons for such work. “Perhaps in the territories of their compact work something can be done,” said Radiy Khabirov. “The phenomenon of rotational migration will disappear when the economy moves, salary will increase. Rural development programs are also a way to leave people at home so that they have a garden nearby and all the necessary infrastructure, ” said the Acting Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov.
Bashkortostan ranks first in the absolute number of labor migrants. About 150 thousand people regularly leave for work, and about 100 thousand go to the regions of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District. Much of the migrants leave the Khaibullinsky, Yermekeyevsky, Krasnokamsky, Mechetlinsky districts of Bashkortostan, as well as the border areas with the Chelyabinsk region.
