On the eve of the Day of Memory and Grief, on June 18, the “Forgotten Names” exhibition opens in the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan, dedicated to prisoners of war who died in German concentration camps. The exhibition is organized based on the materials transmitted to the museum by the leadership of the military history club "Severnye Amury".
In the first part of the exhibition, visitors will become acquainted with information about the Red Army soldiers who, by fate, were captured by the enemy in the period 1941-1943 and became prisoners of the Zeitheit concentration camp in Germany.
“All the presented Soviet soldiers died in captivity, but during the course of the display there will be interesting inconsistencies and histories of individual prisoners, natives of Bashkortostan and neighboring regions,” the organizers said. “During the familiarization with the exposition, visitors will receive the necessary skills in processing materials presented in German documents. Someone will know the fate of their relatives and loved ones. "
