Ufa pilot Yuri Nevsky became the second at the Russia Drift Series South stage, which took place in Voronezh on June 2. The Russia Drift Series are multi-stage official drift competitions that have been held in Russia since 2009.
The competitions are held in three different series — South, West, and GP (Gran Prix). Each of the series has from 4 to 6 stages, in which drivers from nearby regions take part, although there are no geographical restrictions. According to Yuri, he takes part in two series at once — South and West, in order to gain more experience.
Last year, the athlete has already taken a shot at Russia Drift Series West. Having passed three stages of the race, due to technical problems Nevsky stopped at number 23 in the rating out of 41 participants.
This year, Nevsky has already passed two stages of the Russia Drift Series South with the results — 2nd and 4th place, and one stage of the West, where he finished 5th. The next stage of racing in the South is ahead — races will be held in Rostov-on-Don on June 22-23.
