Mobile operators will cancel national roaming since June 1
UFA, 23 May 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
Mobile operators are starting to cancel national roaming. This type of roaming is valid when the operator does not have its own network in the “guest” region, and the subscriber is automatically connected to the network of another operator, with which his company has a corresponding agreement.
In December 2018, President Vladimir Putin signed a law abolishing national roaming. It takes effect since June 1. From this day on, incoming calls should be free in the networks of any operators throughout the country.
According to Russian law, free incoming calls will be effective automatically in all tariff plans without exception at no extra charge and will not require the connection of preferential options. The cost of outgoing calls, SMS and mobile Internet will not change.
According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, some mobile operators have decided to switch to new operation rules ahead of time, or more precisely since May 29.
