Cirque du Soleil will arrive in Ufa

For the first time in ten years of touring Russia, Cirque du Soleil will perform in Ufa, where it will present the CRYSTAL show — production on the ice, the press service of the circus reports.
Performances will be held in Ufa-Arena from December 25 to December 29, 2019.
The Cirque du Soleil company's history began 35 years ago with a dream of a small group of street performers about traveling. Today it is a legendary brand in the live entertainment industry: since the company was founded, its show has been seen by more than 200 million viewers in 450 cities in 60 countries of the world; Cirque du Soleil employs more than 4,500 employees from 50 countries, including 1,400 artists.
In CRYSTAL, Cirque du Soleil explored the possibilities of ice and brought the highest standards for the acrobatic performances to the unknown territory. The production includes synchronized figure skating, freestyle and extreme figure skating go hand in hand with circus disciplines — air straps, trapeze and ground acrobatics.
An international company of figure skaters, extreme speed skaters, freestylers, acrobats and musicians from 11 countries is engaged in the production.
The creators' team includes directors of the show - Shana Carroll (nominee for the Drama Desk award, choreographer for the special performance of Cirque du Soleil at the Oscar 2012 film awards ceremony) and Sebastian Soldevilla (director of the first part of the Olympic Games opening ceremony in Sochi); Kurt Browning, four-time champion of Canada and the world in men's single skating, the senior choreographer who staged performances with the participation of figure skaters; choreographer — Benjamin Agosto, five-time US champion in ice dancing and silver medalist of the 2006 Olympics.
During the Russian tour of the circus, the show will be seen by viewers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Ufa, and Yekaterinburg.
