A sowing campaign is in full swing in Bashkiria. More than 320 thousand hectares of spring crops — grain, leguminous, oilseeds — are sown. Of the latter, rapeseed, flax, mustard, soybean, and rape are planted in the region on the area of about 55 thousand hectares — 15% of the plan.
In recent years, the regional Ministry of Agriculture has focused on increasing the acreage of high-yielding crops. They should be at least 10% of the sowing range. If it exceeds 3 million hectares, it is planned to sow oil crops of about 380 thousand hectares.
Also, farms sow sugar beets — 17% of the plan, more than 8 thousand hectares, the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria reported.
