Three cities of Bashkiria will receive money for parks improvement

The projects of the cities of Belebey, Birsk, and Ishimbay became winners of the contest for improvement of small cities and historical settlements, the press service of the Government of Bashkortostan informs.

The Federal Commission of the All-Russian Competition for the Best Projects for Comfortable Urban Environment in Small Towns and Historical Settlements has selected 80 winning projects in 2019. These are representatives of 46 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The winners of the competition will receive subsidies from the federal budget from 40 to 85 million rubles.

The winners of the competition from Bashkortostan were three projects from the cities of Belebey, Birsk, and Ishimbay.

“Today’s (first!) victory of Ishimbay, Belebey, and Birsk in the competition for federal funds for parks is exactly what I am trying to focus my colleagues on”. “Therefore, thanks to everyone who listened to me! We will act in all spheres likewise, ”the Acting Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov posted on his Facebook page.

A total of 330 applications from 77 regions were submitted to the competition in 2019. The “small cities” with up to 100 thousand people, as well as historical settlements of federal and regional importance, with the exception of administrative centers and cities of federal importance, take part in the competition.

Since 2019, the competition is held within the framework of the “Housing and Urban Environment” national project with an annual prize fund of 5 billion rubles.
