The Association of Wholesale and Retail Companies (AKORT), together with the regional Chambers of Commerce and local authorities, has launched a road map to create direct channels of communication between suppliers and retail chains.
“We want to create in the regions, including Bashkortostan, direct, effective communication channels“ supplier/trading network, ” Sergey Belyakov, the chairman of the AKORT presidium, commented on to Bashinform News Agency.
“We are very interested in the development of farms, local producers because it is a matter of social well-being in the region. So that people have earnings, and they can come to the store and buy what they want. Now, together with the local authorities, we are looking for ways to access the store shelves of such local manufacturers. There is already an example when a local manufacturer, having gained access to one federal network, gained access to stores not only in his region but also in other areas. The reason is simple: the trading network began to deliver his products to other regions, as it saw the demand for it,” the chairman of the AKORT presidium added. “Given the large geography of Russia, the export potential of such local industries is enormous, and our task is to establish effective cooperation between them and the retail chains.”
Currently, the implementation of the “roadmap” for the creation of a working channel “supplier/retail chain” is being conducted in four regions of the country. By the end of the year, it is planned to cover another ten regions.
“We are ready to include Bashkiria in the plans for this year, and we will be happy to take a trip to this region as well,” said Sergey Belyakov.
