16 young scientists from Bashkiria will receive 500 thousand rubles for their developments

Sixteen young scientists from Bashkiria were among the winners of the "UMNIK-2018" program. Eleven of them won the regional stage of the competition, three won the competition UMNIK-NTI and two won the joint competition of the Foundation for the Innovation Promotion and Rosnano. Each of the winners will receive 500 thousand rubles for two years to continue research in the chosen direction and bring the project to implementation. The number of grant holders included eight projects of young scientists of the USATU (Ufa State Aviation Technical University), per three from Bashkir State University and and Ufa State Petroleum Technological University and per one from Bashkir State Medical University and Sterlitamak branch of Bashkir State University, the press service of the Science Support and Development Fund of Bashkiria reports.

“Our project is a helicopter type air vehicle designed for one person. It allows you to travel in the conditions of dense urban development safely, ”says one of the winners of the UMNIK-NTI contest Timur Yusufov.

According to the developer, there are many areas for applying such know-how: these are cargo transportation and air taxi. The invention can be of use for rescuers and structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The developer plans to integrate the autonomous piloting system into the invention, which will allow the aircraft to fly without human intervention. Among other studies by young scientists from the republic, it is possible to note the development of a biosensor rapid test system for determining the content of antibiotics in honey, a software and hardware system for keeping a traveling log of a service vehicle, and a universal unmanned piloting system.
