Ufa townspeople are invited to see rarities of National Museum "Golden Rooms"

On April 24-26, the “Rarities of the National Museum. From the Golden Rooms.” The exhibition is timed to the 155th anniversary of the foundation of the museum.
The exhibition will feature a variety of gold and silver artifacts from ancient times (8th century BC) to the present day (the 2000s). These are archaeological objects, items from the numismatic collection, articles made of gold and silver.
Visitors can see here silver coins, which became one of the first exhibits of the Ufa provincial museum. These coins were handed over by people who stood at the origins of the museum, such as A. B. Ivanitsky, A.A. Pecker, N.A. Gurvich. Thus, one hundred fifty-five years ago, the numismatic collection of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan was launched.
Today, the collection continues to grow. From the receipts of recent years, the exhibition will feature a set of commemorative gold and silver coins of collectible coinage dedicated to the 425th anniversary of the city of Ufa and the 450th anniversary of the voluntary entry of Bashkiria into Russia. Among them, there is a gold coin weighing 1 kg. The nominal value of the coin is 10,000 rubles, issue of 2007, circulation of 100 pieces.
The most significant exhibit is the “Irendyksky Bear” golden nugget of 4 kg 788 g weight. The nugget is a unique creation of nature, is considered a national treasure of Russia and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The exhibition will also display gold jewelry of Central Asian, Iranian and Byzantine origin, which are authentic works of medieval jewelry, works of Russian and European masters of gold and silver of the 17-20th centuries.
