Industrial production pace continues to grow in Bashkiria – Bashkortostan Statistics Agency

Over the past four years, the industrial production index has been above the average for Russia in Bashkortostan. The operational results of January-March 2019 continue to demonstrate an outpacing rate of industrial production growth in the region — 102.9% (by January-March 2017) against 102.1% in the country. These figures were cited by the head of the corporate statistics department of Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, Ilyuza Lavreshina, at a meeting of the Public Council under the statistical department held yesterday.
The contribution of industry to the economy of the republic in 2018 is as follows: gross regional product — 35.6%, turnover of organizations — 53.7%, number of employed population — 25%, revenues — 66.3%, gross profit — 75.8%, investment in fixed assets — 56.2%.
The volume of own-produced goods shipped, work performed, and services in current prices over the past year amounted to 1.7 trillion rubles, with a growth rate of 118.4% to the year 2017. According to the latest data, the main share of the republican volume in the structure of industrial goods shipped is accounted for manufacturing, petroleum products (36.2%), chemicals and products (12.1%), other vehicles and equipment (5%), food products (4.2%).
