Radiy Khabirov and cosmonaut Sergey Revin discussed idea of Bashkir "Sirius"

Today, April 12, on the Day of Cosmonautics, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov met with the Hero of Russia, cosmonaut Sergey Revin.
The meeting was also attended by the Interim Deputy Prime Minister RB Lenara Ivanova and Chairman of the Public Committee for the Development and Support of Educational Projects RB “Victory” Vadim Kurilov.
“It is quite symbolic that we are meeting on the Cosmonautics Day,” said Radiy Khabirov. “This is a wonderful day in the history of mankind and our country, a common holiday that is dear to each of us.”
The meeting discussed educational projects in the field of scientific and technical creativity of schoolchildren, including those related to astronautics and the development of engineering skills, issues of patriotic education. In particular, the idea was announced to organize in Bashkortostan a year-round center for training talented children and young people, similar to the Sochi "Sirius".
Sergey Revin is the 113th cosmonaut of Russia (USSR) and the 526th cosmonaut of the world. In May-September 2012, he made a space flight on a human-crewed transport vehicle Soyuz TMA-04M, which lasted over 125 days.
