By 2024, twelve linguistic gymnasiums are planned to open in Bashkiria. It was announced today at the First All-Russian Congress of Bashkir Language and Literature Teachers by the Interim Minister of Education of the region Aibulat Khazhin.
He presented several areas of work designed to improve the quality of Bashkir language teaching in the region.
“Today everyone has the right to receive education in their native language. Unfortunately, the number of people wishing to study in their native language and learn it is declining. By 2024, I propose to open twelve linguistic gymnasiums with in-depth study of Bashkir, Russian and English languages, where Oriental and other languages can also be studied — in the cities of Ufa, Sterlitamak, Sibay, Kumertau, Ishimbay, Tuymaz, Dyurtyuli, Duvan, Beloretsk, and Abzelilovo districts”, suggested Aibulat Khazhin.
