Bashkir swimmer won bronze of Special Olympics in UAE

16-year-old Oksana Pushkareva won a bronze medal in the 100-meter breaststroke discipline at the World Special Olympics Games in Abu Dhabi (UAE). This was reported by the Ministry of Sports of Bashkortostan. Oksana Pushkareva is a trainee of the Tuymazy correctional school and the only representative of Bashkiria at the World Games. The Public Charity Organization of Assistance to the Disabled with Mental Retardation “Special Olympics of Russia” has helped the girl to go to the competitions.
The Games take place in the capital of the United Arab Emirates from March 8 to 22. More than seven thousand athletes from 190 countries compete in 24 sports.
