New encyclopedia has been published to 100th anniversary of Bashkortostan

To the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Bashkir encyclopaedists published the illustrated encyclopedia "The Republic of Bashkortostan".
The publication is a universal regional encyclopedia, which presents a set of knowledge about Bashkortostan, its history, place, and role in the Russian Federation and the world. The encyclopedia focuses on the socio-political and socio-economic situation of the republic at different times.
The book consists of two parts. The first part presents an overview of the history of the region, the development of political, socio-economic and cultural life of Bashkortostan. The second part includes conceptual and biographical articles arranged in alphabetical order.
The encyclopedia was prepared in Russian and English, includes more than 1800 articles (of which over 600 are biographical). The publication contains more than 2,100 illustrations and over 70 maps. The encyclopedia's size is 800 pages.
The chief editor of the encyclopedia is Alfis Gayazov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the editor-in-chief is Uildan Saitov, director of the “Bashkir Encyclopedia”.
