Average size of unemployment benefits in Bashkortostan reached 6 thousand rubles

The average amount of unemployment benefits in Bashkortostan in February was 5,793 rubles, or 61.0% of the subsistence minimum for the working-age population. Such data are given by the Ministry of Labor RB.
The share of recipients of minimum unemployment benefits in the region amounted to 39.2%, the maximum unemployment benefits — 34.5%, the agency added.
For information: the average amount of unemployment benefits was 4,033 rubles in the republic in February last year.
Recall that from January 1, 2019, unemployment benefits in Russia increased significantly, for the first time since 2009.
Since January of this year, the minimum amount of unemployment benefits has grown in the country from 850 to 1,500 rubles, the maximum — from 4,900 to 8,000 rubles.
In Bashkortostan, taking into account the regional coefficient, the minimum amount of unemployment benefits since 1729 was 1,725 rubles, the maximum — 9,200 rubles.
As reported by Bashinform News Agency, the official status of the unemployed since the beginning of this year was received by almost 10 thousand residents of the republic. This is by 20% more than in January-February 2018.
The number of registered unemployed by March 1, 2019 exceeded 23.4 thousand people in Bashkiria. This is 3.8 thousand more unemployed than at the beginning of the year.
