Bashkortostan modern textiles will be presented in European tourist center

The "Folk Textiles of Bashkortostan" exhibition will open in one of the most famous tourist centers of Europe in the city of Heidelberg on February 24. The best works of masters of the Republic of Bashkortostan will be presented in the Max Berg Textile Museum.

The works of the masters, which will be presented at the exhibition in Germany, are made in different genres and directions, but all of them are inherent in preserving the ornamental traditions and enriching them with modern technical and artistic techniques and meanings. The exposition includes works of the “Nadezhda” Folk Patchwork Club, the “Tambur” Folk Club of the Belokatay District, works of modern folk craftsmen. A special place is occupied by the creative projects of the "Ural" Folk Art Gallery, organized by the Republican center of folk art in different years. Among them, there is a collection of felt suits “Ural Batyr”, “Kyshlau”. The exhibition will run until May 20, 2019. For three months, thousands of people from around the world will be able to see it.

The “Folk Textiles of Bashkortostan” is a project organized within the framework of the grant of the Head of the Republic to cultural and art workers. The exposition is particularly relevant in the run-up to preparations for the largest international festival of traditional culture in the Republic of Bashkortostan — the 6th World Folklore Festival.

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Republican Center of Folk Art, the "Ural" Folk Art Gallery are the organizers of the event.
