Radiy Khabirov: “Professional skills competition enhances prestige of blue-collar jobs”

UFA, 12 December 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Azat Gizatullin/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.

Yesterday in Ufa, the winners and prize-winners of the Republican Professional Skills Competition were awarded. In 2018, it was held in six nominations: “Best Mason”, “Best Woodcutter”, “Best Kumis Maker”, “Best Pastry Maker”, “Best Plumber”, “Best Welder”. It was attended by more than 800 young professionals who showed their competence, dedication to the chosen occupation, who showed perseverance in achieving their results.

“You know, we already have bright stars in this area. This year Elena Kremneva distinguished herself in the nomination “The Best Confectioner” at the federal competition, and Tahir Orazberdiev from Sterlitamak was recognized as the “Best Trolley Bus Driver” in our country”, said Radiy Khabirov, Acting Head of Bashkortostan, at the awarding ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the competition.

According to the head of Bashkortostan, the competition solves another problem — it attracts young people, enhances the prestige of blue-collar jobs.

Employees of republican enterprises who have been working in the profession for at least three years are entitled to participate in the annual competition "The Best in Profession". Winners and prize-winners are awarded with diplomas and money prizes: for the first place — 50 thousand rubles, for the second — 30 thousand rubles, for the third — 15 thousand rubles. In the future, the winners of the competition will be nominated for participation in the All-Russian professional skills competition "The Best in Profession".
