More than 1.1 million people have been vaccinated against flu in Bashkiria

More than 1.1 million people, or about 29% of the population of Bashkortostan, were vaccinated against flu, including 343.5 thousand children, Rospotrebnadzor RB reports.
In 2018, 1.6 million people are planned to be vaccinated in the republic. This figure is comparable with last year's data.
Annual mass immunization against influenza is carried out in order to reduce the frequency of complications, hospitalization, deaths, the epidemic spread of influenza and ARVI.
In order to get a vaccination against influenza, it is necessary to refer to a general practitioner or pediatrician at a clinic in the place of residence. The vaccination campaign will last until December 1.
As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, the peak incidence is expected in February-March 2019. The current season will be marked by two new strains: A2 (Singapore, last year was Hong Kong) and B2 (Colorado, last season Brisbane). These strains are included in the vaccine. Its cost is 230 rubles.
