China will start supplying tangerines and tomatoes to Bashkortostan

Tangerines and tomatoes grown in the Chinese province of Jiangxi will begin to be delivered by rail to Bashkortostan. Such agreements were reached during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic, Rustem Mardanov, to the People's Republic of China. The representative of Jiangxi Province in Bashkortostan, Xie Yuanpeng, told about this at a plenary session of the 4th Small Business Forum of the SCO and BRICS Regions. According to him, work is underway to search for goods made in Russia and in our republic that would be interesting for Chinese consumers.
The executive secretary of the SCO Business Council, Sergei Kanavsky, said at a press conference that all SCO countries were interested in supplying their products to the People’s Republic of China.
“For the time being, this process is mostly unilateral, when the SCO countries in large volumes export goods produced in China. Our Chinese colleagues are waiting for environmentally friendly products, and are ready to assist in its deliveries from the regions of Russia,” said Sergey Kanavsky.
Bashkortostan, in turn, supplies honey to China. Annual exports amounted to only 10 tons. In 2018, the task was set to increase the supply of Bashkir honey to 100 tons. Total, about 1.5 thousand tons of Bashkir honey are sold annually beyond the republic’s borders, including about 400 tons delivered abroad.
