Bashkiria took the 26th place in the ranking of regions of the Russian Federation for housing construction per person. The corresponding rating was made by RIA Novosti analysts.
According to the study, from July 2017 to July 2018, 0.569 square meters of housing were commissioned in the region. Experts clarify that the provision of the population of the republic with housing is 25.4 square meters per person.
Leningrad region takes the first place — 1,575 square meters, the second – went to the Moscow region — 1.303 square meters.
During this period least of all housing in Russia was built in the Chukotka Autonomous District — 0.091 square meters, the Murmansk region — 0.079 square meters and the Magadan region — 0.044 square meters.
Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that over the past seven years, among the regions of the Volga Federal District, Bashkortostan has been ranked second after Tatarstan in terms of specific indicators for housing construction.
The republic is in the fourth place in terms of housing construction per capita.
“We plan to keep this trend and to reach the planned figures this year. Total, in 2015-2016, 2 million 690 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned, in 2017 — 2 million 460 thousand square meters. This decrease was due to the continuation of construction projects begun in the crisis years (2013-2014) when a lot of developers stopped their work. Now the situation is getting better. Our goal until 2021 is to reach the planned targets of 2,700,000”, said Artem Kovshov, deputy head of the State Committee for Construction and Architecture RB at the construction forum in September of this year.
