In his speech, the head of the region summed up the interim results of the socio-economic development of the republic this year. He noted that the economy of Bashkortostan continued its steady growth.
Thus, now the gross regional product is about 1.5 trillion rubles. The republic is distinguished by a stability of the budget system, effectiveness of tax policy. The reliability of the financial sector ensured Bashkortostan’s position among the top three best regions of the country.
“The revenues of the consolidated budget reached almost 160 billion rubles in eight months, which is by 30 percent more than the last year,” said Rustem Khamitov. “Such a positive trend makes it possible to fulfill all social obligations, to provide subsidies to the sectors of the economy, to support the municipalities.”
According to the head of the region, up to 80 percent of the budget of Bashkortostan is annually spent on solving social issues. The May decrees of the President of Russia are fully implemented in terms of increasing the wages of public sector employees. Currently, an average monthly salary in the republic already exceeds 32 thousand rubles. The minimum wage equals the minimum subsistence level.
“The next year is marked for us by a historic event — the 100th anniversary of the formation of our republic,” said Rustem Khamitov. “We have one common goal — a prosperity of Bashkortostan and its multinational people. Every resident of the republic is its hope and support. Together we need to continue evolving into a strong modern economy, to improve the quality of life in our cities and villages, raise talented young people, and preserve the best traditions, peace, and harmony among nations.”
