Bashkiria will present its congress potential in Moscow at Event Industry Forum

Bashkortostan will be presented at the All-Russian Conference of the Meeting Industry (MICE DAY), which opens today in Moscow. The topic of the forum of industry specialists is “MICE Industry in Russia: Prospects in Regions”.
The event will be opened by a plenary session “Congress and Exhibition Events as an Effective Tool for the Development of the Regional Economy”. Speakers include Sergei Katyrin, President of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Igor Fomin, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for Social Policy, Alexander Stuglev, Director of the Roskongress Foundation, Nikolai Korolev, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, Alexander Maltsev, Director General of the BE IN RUSSIA project, Alexey Kalachev, Director of the National Congress Bureau.
The experience of Bashkiria in conducting congress events at the forum will be presented by the Congress Bureau of the republic.
“The Congress Bureau will present the experience of Bashkortostan at the thematic discussion “Regions of Russia as MICE Destinations”. In recent years, we have developed ethnic tours with partners, options for holding events in Ufa and in the countryside, have created a community of professionals. We will also discuss a role of the Congress Bureau of the region as a driver and institute of economic development. I am sure that holding of a large-scale industry event will mark the beginning of a brand new growth of the MICE industry in the regions of Russia,” said Nikolai Fadeev, director of the Congress Bureau of Bashkortostan.
According to the organizers, one of the main tasks of the conference will be to familiarize Russian and foreign MICE customers with the best MICE products and capabilities of Russian regions.
The ninth Russian Business Travel & MICE Award ceremony will also take place today. Traditionally, the awards will be presented in 15 nominations, the press service of the Congress Bureau RB informs.
