On Tuesday, October 9, after a little more than a year of large-scale reconstruction, a school opened for pupils of Lyceum No. 1. The school is another object built by the 100th anniversary of the republic. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov arrived at the school to congratulate teachers, children, and their parents and make sure that everything was done properly and efficiently.
The school was closed for renovation last May. For a year and a half, a 4-storey new Lyceum building was built, the existing 5-storey building was renovated, and the territory was landscaped.
The building has two lifts for children with disabilities, more than 30 classrooms, a medical unit with procedural and dental offices, two sports gyms, an assembly hall for more than 300 seats, as well as universal sports grounds, classrooms for dances and choreography, playing room for after-school groups, a canteen for 400 seats, a library.
But most importantly, children will study in one shift here. Before reconstruction, over 600 pupils attended this school, now their number has grown to 775.
After a tour of the educational institution, Rustem Khamitov admitted that he liked the school.
“The project is successful and was implemented quite well. It has a large assembly hall, a huge gym, wide corridors, and superb spacious classrooms. This is an embodiment of the modern school, the way it should be. The Lyceum is built according to the latest standards, and I can only be glad for the children who will study here and the teachers who will work here,” the Head of the region noted. “In the next few years, we will continue to build intensively. The task is to abandon an evening shift in the schools of the republic by 2024-2025, and I am sure that we will manage to do it, as everything goes at the planned pace. Funds, opportunities, construction companies are available for this task. We understand what should be built, and all these goals will be achieved.
Next year at least 10-15 schools will be built in the republic, including those combined with kindergartens. It is also planned to continue construction in 2020, 2021. This year a large school in Sterlitamak for 1250 children, a school in Bakaly district for 600-700 children, in Karaidel district will be commissioned.
At the same time, a program for kindergartens and nurseries is being implemented. In the next few years, the most pressing problems will be solved".
