Finalists of Vladimir Spivakov Violin Competition are named in Ufa

The finalists of the 2nd International Vladimir Spivakov Violin Competition were named in Ufa.
Of the seven semi-finalists, the following reached the third round: Maria Dueñas (Spain), Issei Kurihara (Japan), Fedor Beznosikov (Russia), Stepan Starikov (Russia).
On September 20, the third round of the contest will take place; the musicians will play with the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the participation of the soloists of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia. The famous Estonian musician Mikhail Hertz will stand at the conductor's podium.
On September 20, the master classes of the jury of the competition — Qian Zhou (Singapore) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Takashi Shimizu (Japan) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. will be held at the Ufa Art College.
On September 21, the chairman of the jury Mikhail Kopelman (USA) and jury member Boris Kushnir (Austria) will share their experience.
The Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition is held by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the support of the Head of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
