Twelve TV companies of Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Belarus will exchange video content. The Bashkortostan TV and Radio Company with the BST channel became a participant in the international consortium.
The signing of the agreement and a solemn ceremony of launching the new project took place in Xian, the ancient capital of China, within the framework of the international media summit "One Belt — One Road". The parties agreed to create a unified system for the exchange of broadcasting programs.
"The new agreement will expand the BST channel presence in the international arena. Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Tajikistan are now added to our sphere of interests", said Rustam Zarafutdinov, Director of the Bashkortostan TV company. "I'm sure that the audience in these countries will be interested in our content, information about Bashkortostan. As for the main international channel of China — CGTN, our cooperation will now be strengthened and become systemic".
The BST television channel was one of the first in Russia to establish full-scale cooperation with Chinese counterparts. Programs of the main republican channel on a regular basis are broadcasted on the airs of the Russian service of the Chinese TV CGTN and state television of Anhui province.
