Ufa polling stations are equipped with ballot processing systems by 94%

The polling stations of the city of Ufa are equipped with ballot paper processing systems by 94%, urban districts of the republic — by 74%. This was announced by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan Khaidar Valeyev.
In the capital of Bashkiria, 786 thousand 397 people were included in the voter lists. They were compiled taking into account the data as of July 1, 2018, the organizers of the election explained.
Total, ballot processing systems will be used at 811 polling stations at the elections to the legislative assembly of the region. Over 49.27% of the residents of the republic will be able to vote using them. This year, according to the ballot processing systems availability, the republic came third after the Moscow region (1,703) and the city of Moscow (1,544).
The initiative to increase the transparency of elections using modern technical means of counting votes was announced by the head of the republic Rustem Khamitov. It was supported by the Central Election Commission of Russia.
According to the representative of the CEC of Russia Evgeny Shevchenko, the number of processing systems during the elections to the State Assembly RB will be by four times more than at the presidential elections in March 2018.
All the technical complexes have already been delivered to Bashkortostan. 626 ballot paper processing systems were delivered to the republic from Udmurtia, Perm Krai, Kurgan, Orenburg, and Chelyabinsk regions.
