Ufa writer Igor Savelyev will present "Lie of Hamlet" at Moscow Book Fair

On September 5, the 31st International Book Fair opens in Moscow. On the opening day, the Ufa writer Igor Savelyev will perform at one of the central fair venues. He will present his novel "The Lie of Hamlet" published in the collection of laureates of the All-Russian Prize "Lyceum" in 2018. The premiere of the collection at the book exhibition is organized by the Moscow publishing house AST.
According to the official program of the Moscow International Book Fair, a presentation of the "Lyceum 2018" poem and prose collection will be held at the section "Books in the City" on September 5 at 13.00 in the 75th pavilion of the VDNKh. The authors of the works included in the book will make presentations to the audience – the prose writers Konstantin Kupriyanov (San Diego, USA), Bulat Khanov (Kazan) and the poet Andrei Famitsky (Minsk). The "older generation" of writers will be represented by the famous writer and critic Leo Danilkin, who headed the jury of the "Lyceum" Prize this year, the prose writer Vladimir Berezin (chairman of the selection commission), the head of the AST editorial board, Elena Shubina and the general director of the All-Russian awards "The Big Book" and "Lyceum" George Urushadze.
Igor Savelyev received the Lyceum prize in June: the names of laureates, writers under the age of 35 were named at a solemn ceremony at Pushkin Square in Moscow. The prize, which amounted to 700 thousand rubles, was awarded to Igor Savelyev by the jury for his "Lie of Hamlet" book. The collection of the award laureates is published in 1500 copies and in the coming days will appear at Russian bookshops.
Igor Savelyev was born in Ufa in 1983, works as a journalist. In 2013, his novel "Tereshkova Flies to Mars" was awarded the State Youth Prize named after Shaikhzada Babich.
