Famous choreographers Arina Panfilova, Anton Kochnev, Alexey Rastorguev, Denis Boroditsky, Yuri Gudushauri worked with young artists. Each of them staged two performances: one — dedicated to the life and work of Nureyev, and the other — on the themes of Bashkir legends. These works will remain the property of Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre, the audience saw them at a gala concert of the "Lab".
The work was competitive: finally, the jury acknowledged the staging by Denis Boroditsky "45 minutes of silence" and "Kekuk" by Alexei Rastorguev as the best. In "45 minutes of silence" the voice of Rudolf Nureyev sounded, and they were performed by the initiator and art director of the Lab, choreographer and magnificent dancer Dmitry Antipov. The modern choreographic reading of the Bashkir legend of a girl grieving for the deceased bridegroom struck the audience with its beautiful male dances.
Concluding the presentation, the director of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre, Ilmar Almukhametov, announced that the choreographers Rastorguev and Boroditsky would have an opportunity to stage a one-act ballet in the theater. The ballets will be presented in the second season of "Rudi Dance Lab" in 2020.
