More than 2000 fires killed 144 people in Bashkortostan year-to-date

In Bashkortostan for seven months of 2018, 144 people were killed and 149 suffered injuries of varying severity in 2125 fires. Compared to the same period, the growth is 6.6%, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for Bashkortostan reported.
The department named the main causes of fires:
— malfunction of production equipment,
— violation of production technological processes,
— violation of rules for construction and operation of electrical equipment, furnaces, gas equipment, vehicles,
— violation of fire safety rules during electric and gas welding and fire works,
— careless handling of fire.
